STUDIES ON THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF NATURAL RUBBER COMPOSITES FILLED WITH CLAY AND CORN COB

The mechanical properties of materials such as natural rubber composites determine their usefulness engineering or biological materials. thermodynamic filled with clay and corn cob at varying volume fraction filler were studied a view relating comparing parameters (ΔG, ΔH ΔS) to (Young’s modulus, tensile strength, elongation break, etc) composites. prepared using standard compounding recipe. tension observed for each composite result changes in temperature was used evaluating via Arrhenius equation plot. These have been evaluated by measuring the compounded percent fractions (5% - 25%) two fillers- cob. results indicated that maximum values ΔG obtained 10% fraction, while optimal ΔS same found be 5% 25% fraction. At lower concentration (5 – 17.5%), higher modulus than composites, these ranges, impact strength filler.
